On December 3, 2024 between the JV and Varsity boys basketball games, there will be a dedication ceremony to name our main gym "Smargiassi Gymnasium". Mr. Don Smargiassi, our long-time athletic director, spent 62 years of his life involved in many aspects of Pawnee Schools. He began his teaching and coaching career in Pawnee in 1960. He was a coach for football, basketball, and baseball for many years. Throughout his career, he received numerous awards and was inducted into both the Illinois High School Basketball and Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. Please join our community on December 3 for the dedication!
